Brindavanam (The Super Khiladi)
Brindavanam is a 2010 Telugu romantic comedy film starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha in the lead roles while actors Kota Srinivasa Rao,Prakash Raj and Srihari play other pivotal roles. The film was produced by Dil Raju on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. It was written by Koratala Siva and directed by Vamsi Paidipally, who directed Munna, also produced by Dil Raju. S. Thaman composed the music while Chota K. Naidu and Marthand K. Venkatesh handled the cinematography and editing of the film respectively. A. S. Prakash and Anand Sai were the art directors of the film while Ram Lakshman composed the stunt and fight sequences of the film.
The film revolves around three principal characters Krish, Indu and Bhoomi. Krish is the only son of a wealthy industrialist and his girlfriend is Indu. Her friend Bhoomi's father forces her to get into wedlock but she wants to continue her studies. Hence she lies to her father that she is already in love with a guy and her father wants to meet her boy friend. Indu asks Krish to act as boyfriend of Bhoomi. At Bhoomi's house named Brindavanam, Krish is approved as the bridegroom by her father and all her family members and Krish unites her father with his step brother who are poles apart. The rest of the film is all about the consequences faced by the trio when Krish and Bhoomi find out that Indu is the step brother's daughter and thus Bhoomi's sister which Indu was also never aware of.
The film was launched officially on 15 August 2009 on the eve of Independence Day of India at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The principal photography of the film commenced on 1 December 2009. The film was shot in locales of Pollachi in Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad, Badami in Karnataka, Chalakudy near Cochin in Kerala. Apart from them, the film was also shot near Athirapally Waterfalls in Kerala and forest at Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad in old Andhra Pradesh. Some of the songs were shot in the picturesque locales of Greece and Switzerland with rest of them shot at Pollachi and sets constructed in Hyderabad. The principal photography of the film ended on 15 September 2010.
The film released on 14 October 2010 and was a critical and commercial success.[2][3] In Kannada it was Remade as Brindavana starring Darshan, Karthika Nair and Milana Nagaraj in the lead roles and directed by K. Madesh which enjoyed similar success.[4] It was remade in Bengali as Khoka 420 with Dev, Nusrat Jahan andSubhashree Ganguly playing the lead roles and directed by Rajib Biswas.[5] It was also remade in Oriya as Love Master. It has been dubbed into Hindi as The Super Khiladi and into Tamil under the same name and later this movie dubbed in Malayalam as Chakravyooham.It was also remade in Bangladesh as 100 Percent Love : Buk Fatey To Mukh Foteyna.
